FAQs
Income Tax Return (ITR) Filing: frequently asked questions
What documents are needed for salary ITR filing?
Aadhaar, PAN, mobile number, email ID, bank statement, Form 16 and salary slips. If TDS was deducted on other income, also share the TDS report.
Can I file ITR for the last 3 years together?
Past-year returns can usually be filed as an Updated Return (ITR-U) within the time limit allowed under the Income Tax Act, with additional tax. We check eligibility year by year before filing.
How do I get my TDS refund?
A refund is issued only after you file your ITR and e-verify it. We file the return with your Form 16 and TDS details so the excess tax deducted is claimed as a refund.
What is the ITR due date?
For most individuals whose accounts are not audited the due date is 31 July of the assessment year, unless the government extends it. Filing on time avoids late fees and interest.
