What is the government fee for trademark registration?
For e-filing, the fee is ₹4,500 per class for individuals, startups and small enterprises, and ₹9,000 per class for others. Our professional fee is separate and quoted upfront.
When can I use the ™ and ® symbols?
You can use ™ once the application is filed. The ® symbol can be used only after the trademark is registered.
How long is a trademark valid?
A registered trademark is valid for 10 years from the date of application and can be renewed every 10 years indefinitely.
What happens if the examiner raises an objection?
We draft and file a reply to the examination report, usually within 30 days, and represent the application at a hearing if one is scheduled.
Should I register my logo or my brand name?
Ideally both, as separate applications: the word mark protects the name in any style, while the device mark protects the specific logo design.
